In the SpecFicPick Spotlight

I'm excited to announce that I'm the featured author on SpecFicPick today, a community of speculative fiction fans and authors. I've been one of their blog followers for a long time and have checked out and purchased past feature books, so it's an unbelievable honor to find myself in their spotlight. Long live SpecFicPick! If you're unfamiliar with Michael Rose and his fabulous fans, I invite you to check them out. And while you're there, discover what future releases you can expect from that crazy Kimberly K. Comeau.

Join Us for The 21st Century Publisher

Tarah Scott and I are co-hosting a series event on Coffee Time Romance entitled Industry Snapshot 2013, and this weekend, February 16 & 17, we're looking at The 21st Century Publisher. Total-E-Bound, LooseId and The Wild Rose Press discuss the genres they publish, what they expect of authors who submit to them, and what they see as future trends. Here's a great opportunity for published and aspiring authors to ask questions of these publishers outside of the submission process, and for readers to express what types of books they'd like to see published more often.

Future events in this series include:

April 28th: The agent's role in today's publishing industry

June 23rd: The author's role in trendsetting

September 24th: How booksellers fit into the picture and perceive the future

November 9th: How do current publishing trends affect readers' choices?

Details on future events in Industry Snapshot 2013 will be posted closer to the date of each event, but they will all take place on Coffee Time Romance & More
