Six Sentence Sunday - 9.30.12

“I cannot prove it—I can find no one who admits to being among Camda’s escort—but instinct tells me that Camda’s body lay in Zarthon before I left for Varaar.”
Tura turned his back and his breathing quickened.
Shurna glanced away, across the backs of the drowsing mia. Fires winked through the orchard’s trees, and the aroma of cooking blended with the pungent bite of wood smoke and the musky scent of the mia. Somewhere in the distance, a flute’s strains trilled faint bird calls. The night’s tranquility seemed a cruel affront, a hard glimpse of what they would lose if they didn’t come to their senses.

  4. Nice description, but for some reason the lines are not wrapping. I have to scroll right several times to read a line, and it looks like a paragraph comes out on one line, which makes it very hard to read. For reference I'm sing Mac OS 10.6.8 with Firefox.

  5. Sue Ann, thanks so much for mentioning the failure of the lines to wrap, and for including your browser. I'm sorry you experienced that annoyance, and grateful that you read my post anyway. I'm still pursuing a solution to the problem. So far, the failure of lines to wrap has been a problem for visitors using Firefox and Mozilla, but not a problem for IE users. I've tried a number of different fixes, none of which have worked yet. But I will persist. If anyone else has a fix suggestion, or knows why this is happening, please leave a comment here or on any of my sites. Thanks!
